Sometimes, because of the language barrier, and because many places still have anti-LGBT+ laws and high rates of violence against LGBT+ people. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find one for each country/territory. In around a month, I received many recommendations from people all over Twitter and Tumblr and did a long research of my own to try to find as many as I could. For this reason, I decided to do a research on F/F books around the world. We read mainly books set in a few specific countries and think that this is all that is for diversity and for our communities. And many times, in discussions of diversity and intersectionality, we end up forgetting to talk about this.

There isn’t just one way of being a part of the LGBT+ community. We are all influenced by the places we come from and the experiences we have because of our backgrounds.
